The Dawgs originated at The Blues Barn, a truly magical place where music therapy tales place (see more on About The Dawgs). Legendary musicians continue to make the pilgrimage to The Barn, such as people who play tunes by Eric Clapton, ZZ Top, BB King, Aerosmith, and Lynyrd Skynyrd.
The Blues Barn is in an undisclosed location, for security reasons (Cheney is a downstairs guest during times of crisis, hence the secrecy). You can join a jam with this distinguished group of musicians by invitation only, usually if a key member discovers you can play or sing and are a reasonably nice person, and says, "Hey, come on over next Monday!".
Informally, there are often spectators (chicks, man!) as well as other musicians strumming or banging away at a makeshift instrument. It's a fun time for all... well, except the time when that poor drummer was lifted away to certain demise by an extremely well organized squadron of greenhead flies. It was sad; he only had one strike.
